The Summit Elks were proud to carry the American Flag at the Chatham Fourth of July Parade. We handed out American flags and candy to the crowds gathered, who cheered and applauded as the Stars and Stripes passed by.
Thanks to Chatham for this honor!

Seven Veterans accompanied by 18 helpers (including six kids) from the Summit, Springfield and Mountainside Lodges attended the May 27th, 2017 Yankee game against the Oakland Athletics.
There were some clouds that threatened the start of the 1 pm game, but the rain held off and the group had the pleasure of watching the Yankees win, 3 -2. The game included two homers, a two run homer in the 6th inning by Yankee Matt Holliday and a solo shot by Athletics catcher Josh Phegley in the 7th inning, which fell into the Elks section!
We are pleased to announce that the Lodge reopened on Friday, May 26, 2017 on schedule. Thanks to all members and friends of the Summit Elks Lodge for your patience and understanding!

I want to thank all that attended our Talk on Drugs on Sunday, May 7, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at the Gazebo in Echo Lake Park. Even though it was a little chilly and overcast that didn't stop those that attended and those that spoke warning us about the perils of use of illegal drugs and illegal use of prescription drugs. I especially need to thank those that spoke at this event. I know some broke other commitments to be a speaker at this event. We, each of us, in our own way, have to educate our youth of the dangers of drug use.
